Week 4 Issues

So this week I ran into a few issues, I was able to get feedback from my tutors at university who said my car was too high poly and the topology that I had used would cause issues. They suggested I went to a super low poly count for the models and then up scaled it from there to allow me to control the loops round the model to cause fewer issues in the later run. I started making progress on getting my model into Assetto Corsa, I was able to get the model to show up in the in game menu's with a description and a name, I now just need to use 3DS Max to add the dummy's to make the car drive around the track inside of the game.


My plan for the coming week is very loose due to me being unable to work 3 days of the week due to having to go to London for work on my hip. My overall aim is to try and get the exterior of the car done to a decent level in a lower poly form and hopefully finish off the windows etc.


I was also able to get my car into Marmoset to have a look at what the car would look like with actual car paint on along with this helping to identify any further issues with the model.
